Current & Upcoming Projects

Cleaner

Home & Garden Maintenance Project

A cared-for home, inside and out, can do wonders for wellbeing. Our Cleaner, Home & Garden Maintenance Project supports people who may struggle to keep on top of their indoor and outdoor spaces, helping them live safely, comfortably, and with renewed pride.

From clearing overgrown gardens and tidying paths to light cleaning, decluttering, and creating calmer indoor environments, we help restore order, safety, and peace of mind. A clean and welcoming home not only improves physical health but also lifts spirits, reduces stress, and boosts confidence.

At NurtureFY CIC, every paid cleaning or gardening job helps us give back a portion of all income supports free or subsidised help for those most in need within our community

Greener

Garden Grow and Swap

Our Grow & Swap Project helps families and individuals in Blackpool turn their gardens, yards, or even balconies into thriving food-growing spaces. We provide starter kits, raised beds or Vegepods on free loan, seeds, and step-by-step guidance so that anyone, from complete beginners to green-fingered growers can get involved.

By learning how to grow everyday vegetables, herbs, and fruit, participants can save money, eat healthier, and feel the pride that comes from harvesting their own food. Along the way, people share skills, swap produce, and connect with neighbours, creating a community that grows stronger together.

This project is about more than gardening, it’s about reducing isolation, building resilience, and helping people see that even the smallest patch of earth (or a pot on a windowsill) can make a big difference.

More Connected

Flourish

Many neurodivergent people in Blackpool live with hidden loneliness. They may hold down jobs, volunteer, or appear “fully functional,” yet often have no real social circle and very few opportunities to build lasting friendships. The Flourish Project is here to change that.

Flourish provides up to a year of gentle, consistent support through creative, nature-based workshops and skill-building activities. The focus is always on the skill first – gardening, cooking, crafting, or learning something new – which takes away the pressure of socialising. Friendships and connections are allowed to develop naturally, in safe and supportive spaces where people can simply be themselves.

This isn’t a quick fix. It’s long-term, steady support that helps people grow in confidence, feel less isolated, and start to enjoy being part of a community again – at their own pace, and in their own way.
