Trusted, experienced, and rooted in real life
Nurturefy is a not-for-profit, community-led organisation shaped by professional expertise and lived experience.

Our board brings over 60 years of nursing experience, including senior leadership, teaching, care assessment, and ongoing frontline practice. This care background influences everything we do, ensuring our work is safe, inclusive, and centred on dignity, emotional wellbeing, and individual needs.
Alongside this, our team brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in gardening and practical trades, using nature as a powerful and accessible tool for wellbeing and connection.
Our creative work has been recognised nationally, including features by Good Housekeeping, HELLO! magazine, and contributions to major productions such as the BRIT Awards and even a Marvel film .... How fancy!!
Just as importantly, our work is informed by lived experience. As a board, we collectively understand disability, neurodivergence, mental health challenges, caring responsibilities, and living on a low income. This ensures our approach is flexible, practical, and genuinely pressure-free.
We work in partnership with local community hubs, care homes, voluntary groups, and Blackpool Council, and our sessions consistently receive overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Our approach isn’t about pushing people out of their comfort zone. It’s about creating the right conditions for people to reconnect, with themselves, with others, and with the world around them.
That’s why our resources and sessions work for people who’ve tried other things and felt they “weren’t for them”.
